(Rowdy) Ronda Rousey to fight Carmouche in UFC in February main event in Anaheim

SEATTLE - (Rowdy) Ronda Rousey will make her UFC debut Feb. 23 in the main event of UFC 157 against Liz Carmouche.

The UFC will showcase women's MMA for the first time at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

Rousey had been competing in Strikeforce but has signed an eight-fight deal with the UFC, which is only featuring her 135-pound weight class to start with for the women.

White presented Rousey with her UFC bantamweight championship belt after Thursday's news conference featuring fighters on Saturday's televised card in Seattle.

The UFC boss says he expects the next 135-pound UFC fight will feature Brazilian Cris (Cyborg) Santos.

Rousey has won all six of her MMA fights in the first round via armbar.

Carmouche's record is 6-2.
