    The Ruby Make-Up Academy campuses in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties are opening their doors to new students for the summer session.

    The Ruby Make-Up Academy campuses in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties are opening their doors to new students for the summer session. With three locations in Temple City and Upland/Ontario, The Ruby Make-Up Academy provides training and certification for persons interested in a career in make-up artistry for TV, Film, and Theater. The Ruby Make-Up Academy trains students in the art of make-up for personal, bridal, special occasion, beauty, fashion, character, and special effects. http://www.rubymakeupacademy.com/index.php

    The Ruby Make-Up Academy provides training and internships to help people make over their career in this difficult job market. The summer class schedule includes: a 10-Week course in professional make-up artistry; a 40-hour certification course in character make-up; and a 5-week hair design course. A 40-hour certification course in FX makeup is coming this fall. There will also be workshops covering personal make-up and how to create the perfect smoky eye.

    In 2006, veteran make-up artist Ruby Polanco launched Ruby Cosmetics and the Ruby Makeup Academy. For the past 11 years, Ruby has been a working make-up artist in Hollywood.
