Pros
Motivates you to run: Through its effortless tracking capabilities, real-time stats, split graphs, GPS route mapping, and social integration for discovering new routes and sharing your results with others, Run with Map My Run for Android sparks your enthusiasm for running, encouraging you to push yourself harder and go further and further away each time. The achievements you get for completing local courses and the leaderboards inspire you to keep moving.
Multipurpose fitness app: While mainly marketed as an app for running, it can be used to log 599 other activities, from dog walking to wood chopping, and also has good food- and weight-tracking features, which are fairly streamlined, requiring only a few taps for inputting and displaying information in a clean, easy-to-read format.
Reliable: Compared to other similar running/fitness apps, this one seems more optimized, in that we have experienced few to no GPS problems, nor witnessed the battery draining before our eyes.
Cons
Visual glitch: On our device, a thick white line appeared atop the screen at all times, slicing the menu bar and any contextual buttons on it, and making them hard to spot.
Soft voice: The useful voice feature tells you when you reach a new mile and can also provide real-time workout details if you buy the premium subscription. But it is rather soft, so you may not hear it when running on a busy street.
