Russia to promote its own Syria resolution at U.N.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia will continue to promote its own draft resolution on Syria in the U.N. Security Council, Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Thursday.

The remarks indicated that a Western-Arab draft resolution supporting a plan for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step aside will be a tough sell for Russia, a veto-wielding council member, but he did not rule out a compromise.

"Russia introduced its own draft and worked on it taking into account amendments (suggested) by our Western colleagues. It remains on the negotiating table. Consultations on the draft continue and we hope this work will continue," Lukashevich said.

"I have no definite information that the ... Western draft will be introduced in the coming days -- we'll see," he said. "For now ... Russia has its own draft and will actively promote it within the framework of the Security Council."

Yes Russia. Draft your own resolution and try not to make transparent the benefits to your country in the resolution.

they have so much invested in syria and make so much off military sales to assad they are going take this down to the bitter end. it also gives them a thrill up their leg to confound the west. it makes them feel less impotent.

Ho Hum; another great reason for the USA to quit the U.N. and boot all the phony diplomats out of the country. If the U.N. wasn't such a miserable collection of bloated wannabes, it would make a great comedy club.

did you know we are all learning this list of stuff the hard, brutal, and painfull way. each and everyone of us

Take away half of lifes defences you also took half of your own. waste any ammount of the defence budget and you wasted your own. take overall choice handling process away from rightfull owners you took away your own inteligence support. so stop wondering where it went and stop taking it from yourselves.
All mankinds leader's need too do is provide the support tools for undersirable event logging, linking, simple demonstration support, and promise too stop unneeded harms towards any part of life unpon functional demonstration in order too have all 7 billion people worth of inteligence support. that is far cheaper then leaderships are wasting now for tiny bits.
Overall most choice handling proccess issues has too be the first thing our defences forces handle cause within the perimeter is a self defeating path. like the act of making the bad setup better is making the problem stronger, harder, and more costly too handle.
Whats wrong with the campain promise "we will setup a layout that offers the public the ability too make there own personal desire vote... on all leadership decisions and a nation ability level evidence based support path too demonstrate unneeeded harms towards life along with the promise too head the in the direction of stopping that harm upon functional demonstration"?
Minimun defence awarness of our current evlolution stage would include things like, hurting life any direction hurts us we seen plenty so far and what we would be reaching at seeing now is how this planet's life is one big defence budget generator (catagoricly from defence understandings thru physical defence thru defence choice support for all life) for life as whole and we need too be in sync.
Anytime you get someone elses active effort profits you have two paths that are not self defeating return profits too rightfull owner or treat it like life level defence budget and do whats best for life defences with it. every other direction is not just self defeating it takes your effort and makes its stronger before sending it back (more budget you send the wrong way thhe more powerfully it slams back). part of the many harm slams we see but usually don;t realize what or where they came from.
Defence forces are choosing too harm them selves if they use more then needed control perimeter with criminals. the needed part would be enough too stop the criminal from doin the crime. and from there the defence force has a chore too setup a public questioning process too figure out exactly why the event took place. basicly blueprint it out so its studied from the simple perspective. with the evidence path a repayment plan that is fair would surface

Don't forget, on all sides, that war tends to be an economy-booster; you can't dismiss that concept as not figuring in some poiticians's thoughts. It refocuses and inflates industry in-country, enforces tighter resource-usage rules on the population who, however grudgingly, will make sacrifices they would not ordinarily do in peacetime. It cuts down on imports and strategizes exports to be more efficient. And patriotism promotes individual sacrifice, when needed on a true, total war scale. That's one reason why some countries do not want to push the US to a complete war-time footing; they saw what happened in the early 20th century. At the time, many didn't believe it could happen--that the US could engage so thoroughly to tip the scales. Even after WWI, they still didn't believe it. The US is in hard times as is most of the developed world, compared to what is considered "normal" for them. However, a focused war has the distinct potential of streamlining US policy, industry, work-force usage, finances, and politics. You can't deny it, and believe me--some politicians are not forgetting it, even if they don't deign to mention it.

If Russian didn't involve in the Irak's affair, the Lybia affair, why the United is worried about Syria which is not under their dominance. It's time to let Russia, France, Japan or China to take care their businesses. Our army is not an international police force such as our Navy Seal is to protect our United States Citizens. Why don't we concentrate on Iran and China which everyday are trying to influence the South America Countries? These regions are our territory and we have to stop the other side to get through.

Russia will show leadership in the region..is better...let the US focus on its domestic problem. Give Jobs to its people and food for their children.
