Ryan Reynolds dares studio staff: Try to take the Deadpool suit back from me. Try

From the way Ryan Reynolds talks about “Deadpool”, it’s clear he’s in love with the character, to the point where he actually took the suit from the set once filming had wrapped.

Proving that he was really born to play the Merc with a Mouth, Reynolds had this to say when asked if studio staff had approached him to return the costume.

“I dared them, right at the beginning. I said come try and take it from me. Try.”

“I’ve waited eleven years to play Deadpool properly,” a passionate Reynolds declared. “I waited eleven years for this movie to be made and to revolutionise comic book superhero movies. I think that’s what we’ve done here.”

“And I was going to be damned if someone was going to take that suit from me. That was going home with me,” the Canadian actor told Yahoo Singapore in Taipei, where he was on a "Deadpool” press tour.

#TeamIronMan, Superman will ‘crush’ Batman

Although the anti-hero is unlikely to have an impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Civil War battle between Captain America and Iron Man, Reynolds did have an opinion on that clash (after admitting he hadn’t cared much about it until then).

“I always sort of gravitate towards the guy who’s a bit more quippy, so I like Tony Stark in that match-up. I’m gonna go with Iron Man,” the 39-year-old said.

With Deadpool officially becoming a member of the Avengers in the comics, Reynolds also said he would "definitely try to make Tony Stark his sidekick, and that would not work well for anyone”.

As for Steve Rogers, the “Deadpool” star felt ”Captain America would be a really fun sidekick, just because he’d hate being a sidekick”.

Reynolds also weighed in on the other big name superhero fight this year, Batman versus Superman, saying that the viewers would be the first winners because they’d be getting to watch that.

But if you’re of the thought that Batman will win, because Batman, Reynolds is going to disagree.

“The physics of it, I can’t really get out of my head. Just from a physics standpoint, Superman is going to crush Batman.”

“Deadpool” opens in cinemas this week.
