SACRAMENTO, California (AFP) – Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Martin, leading scorer for the NBA club, is expected to miss at least two months after undergoing left wrist surgery on Monday.

The Kings said Martin had a hairline fracture in the wrist repaired at the University of California - Davis Medical Center.

Martin has averaged 30.6 points a game for the Kings, off to a 3-4 start.

The Kings have won both games they have played since Martin was hurt, with rookie Tyreke Evans averaging 27.5 points a game in them to take up the slack for Martin's absence.
