PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (AFP) – Jason Richardson scored 29 points while Steve Nash added 21 points and 20 assists to lead Phoenix past Philadelphia 119-115 on Monday as the Suns matched a club-record start at 7-1.

The Suns, who have cracked 100 points in their first eight games for the first time since 1990, hit 15-of-30 3-point shots to win their third game in a row and complete a five-game road trip with a fourth away victory.

Canadian guard Nash, who signed a two-year contract extension for 22 million dollars before the season, matched his season high in assists and scored nine points in the third quarter as the Suns rose within 86-84 entering the fourth.

The Suns, averaging a league-high 110.8 points a game, also had 18 points from Jared Dudley, 17 from Amare Stoudemire, 11 from Grant Hill and 10 by Channing Frye.

Dudley scored off a rebound and Richardson added five points to spark a 7-2 run for a 113-108 edge with 1:38 remaining that gave Phoenix the victory.

Philadelphia was led by Andre Iguodala with 24 points. The 76ers fell to 3-4.
