OSHKOSH, Wis. – An exhibition of 36 movie costumes worn by Elizabeth Taylor, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow will be on display at the Paine Art Center and Gardens through the end of September.

"Fashion in Film: Period Costumes for the Screen" features selections from Cosprop, the world-renowned costume house in London, which has an inventory of about 100,000 costumes and accessories. The company makes costumes for film adaptations of classic novels.

The exhibition was previously at the Winterthur Museum and Country Estate in Delaware, where it attracted the museum's highest attendance.

Other costumes include a Renaissance-era green velvet gown worn by Cate Blanchett in "Elizabeth," a 1950s pink silk dress worn by Madonna in "Evita," Drew Barrymore's winged party dress from "Ever After" and a wool coat and top hat worn by Ralph Fiennes in "Onegin."
