Basel beats rival Young Boys to claim Switzerland championship

It is the 12th championship in Basel's history and completes a league and cup double.
Basel led their rivals from Bern by one point in the standings entering the final game of the season.
Goals from Valentin Stocker on 13 minutes and Switzerland international striker Marco Streller on 23 minutes earned the decisive victory.
The win gave Basel some redemption for their heartbreaking title loss in 2006. Then, FC Zurich scored a 93rd-minute goal to beat Basel 2-1 in the last match and win the championship on goal difference.
