Woodland Hills, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWeb) November 9, 2009 -- Industry Veteran Larry Lee, CEO / President of A&R for the new music imprint and entertainment company, HOR Entertainment Group says the new company will be a full service entertainment company including HOR Records, HOR Publishing, HOR Film and Television and HOR Merchandise. The company will also feature a charitable component, COW (Children of War). HOR will release one album per year on behalf of COW. Artists from the label and guest stars will perform on the release with proceeds going directly to the charity. He has formed the company with Grammy nominated writer and producer Curt Cuomo, President and Head of A&R and plans to make an aggressive push and early impact on the entertainment industry.
Lee notes, "HOR will be an Artist Centric Independent Label, focusing on true Artist development. We are planning to sign 12 acts in 3 years and will be a singles driven company. We are working with amazing and talented individuals who know how to make things happen. We plan to get off to a fast start, keep moving and never look back."
With a mandate to emerge as a label and entertainment concern that develops relevant in-demand artists and songs, and produces noteworthy film and television projects, HOR's offices and studios are lush and reminiscent of the early A&M lot in Hollywood. The complex features several state-of-the-art recording studios.
CEO / President of A&R Larry Lee began his musical career at the age of 16, landing a record deal with RCA Records. He went on to sign with EMI for three records in the late 70s/80s with his band The Scooters. They toured with The Pretenders, White Snake, Joe Perry Project and Joe Jackson to name a few. Larry also joined and toured with Badfinger. As a musician and producer and writer, Lee has worked with such artists as Mr. Big, Meatloaf, Roger Daltry of The Who and numerous projects with composer and three-time Oscar-winner Giorgio Moroder.
Joining Lee as President and Head of A&R for the company is Grammy nominated writer and music producer Curt Cuomo. Cuomo is a multi-talented producer, songwriter and musician. Curt has written and produced with such multi-platinum artists as KISS, Eddie Money, Edgar Winter, Slash and Clint Black. Cuomo Co-wrote the title track for the KISS album, "Psycho Circus" along with the third song, "I Pledge Allegiance to the State of Rock 'n Roll". "Psycho Circus' become the highest charting album ever for the legendary band, reaching number three on the Billboard Album Charts, and the single Psycho Circus reached #1, going gold in just five weeks. About the new company, Curt says, "In 2010, it's time to get back to cultivating artists that will stand the test of time."
Legal matters will be handled by Scott Bradford, "Business and Legal Affairs / A&R" for HOR Entertainment Group who has numerous associations within the music and entertainment industry including representation of Panic! At the Disco, The Shins and Plain White T's among many others.
Vice President of new media is Hab Haddad (www.habcomedia.com). Hab has over 20 years of experience in the Entertainment, Media and IT consulting industries. Hab's clients range from A list musicians and entertainers as well as technology companies to NFL sports teams. Prior to Habco Media, Hab was the Director of New Media and Business Development at McGhee Entertainment, a full service artist management company for recording artists such as KISS, Ted Nugent, Night Ranger, Hootie & the Blowfish and Darius Rucker to name a few.
Promotion/marketing/distribution duties will be overseen by industry vet, VP of Marketing and Promotion, Bob Divney. For 25 years Bob Divney has amassed practical experience in the area of promotion and marketing of music brands in a rapidly evolving music marketplace. His experience covers all aspects of the music business from running a label, brand marketing, artist management, radio promotion and artist development. Divney has been instrumental in developing and breaking the careers of Green Day, Faith No More, Audioslave, KoRn, Oren Lavie, The B-52's, The Barenaked Ladies and Depeche Mode among others. He has most recently ran Adrenaline Music Group and held key positions at CO5 Music, The Firm and Reprise Records.
