Is it really possible that President Barack Obama hasn't watched any part of his Supreme Court nominee's confirmation hearing?
Apparently so.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says he doesn't believe Obama has watched any of Sonia Sotomayor's grilling. And Gibbs says the president hasn't talked with her since he called her Sunday from the Oval Office. Gibbs did say senior White House staffers briefly said in their meeting today that the questioning phase had begun.
Gibbs apparently is keeping an eye on the hearing. He briefly played pundit, saying: "I think she's doing really well."
