Sarah Palin (the real one) did a guest stint on "Saturday Night Live" last night, showing up in two sketches including one with her SNL doppelganger Tina Fey.
In the opening sketch, the vice presidential candidate watched Fey hold a faux press conference, as she chatted with SNL's creator Lorne Michaels backstage. Alec Baldwin approached Michaels during the conversation, mistaking Palin for Fey, pleading to not let Fey appear on stage with "that horrible woman." (Baldwin has been outspoken about his dislike for the governor in real life.)
Michaels tells Baldwin that he's mistaken the two women to which Baldwin acts embarrassed and tells the governor, "Forgive me. I feel I must say this: You are way hotter in person." Palin gets the last laugh though, telling Baldwin that his brother Stephen was always her favorite Baldwin brother.
Later in the show during SNL's news spoof "Weekend Update," Palin appeared at the anchor desk to perform a rap song addressing misconceptions about her. After Seth Meyers makes her introduction, Palin declines to perform saying the routine is too inappropriate. Amy Poehler jumps to perform the Palin rap, with the governor dancing by her side at times throwing her arms in the air (like she just don’t care).
