Sacha Baron Admits: ‘I’m 17 To 31 Per Cent Gay’... Depending On ‘The Situation’

Playing uber-camp Austrian Brüno seems to still be having an effect in his creator Sacha Baron Cohen.

The comic, whose latest film Grimsby features his beer-swilling football fanatic Liam Gallagher-a-like character Nobby, has quipped he’s “23 per cent gay” despite being married to ex-Home And Away beauty Isla Fisher.

The 44-year-old actor, who married Isla, 40, in 2002, said in recent interview his sexuality fluctuates depending on “the situation”.

Speaking on US comic Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, Sacha said: “I’m 23 percent gay. Straight or gay are silly terms. Everyone is somewhere on the scale.

“There’s a scale. We worked it out, did the calculations. “I’m 23 percent gay. There are times I go down to 17, sometimes I’m 31 – depends on the situation. When I was doing Borat and I had the testicles at my chin, I was at 31.”

On a serious note, the comedian said it is those who aren’t open about their sexual preference that cause problems.

He added: “It’s guys struggling with their sexuality who go and beat up gay guys.”

Sacha – who has three children, Olive, eight, Elula, five and 11-month-old Montgomery with Isla – has also revealed he’s made his wife make love to all of his characters from the movies he’s starred in.

He joked earlier this week: “She’s had to make love to all of them but I think her least favourite was Borat. “Probably the best was Brüno because of the personal hygiene. Brüno showered, shaved, waxed.”
