Samsung won’t be the first consumer electronics company to release a smartwatch, but its forthcoming Galaxy Gear is certainly the most talked about wrist-worn computing device so far — at least, among those that have launched or are set to launch anytime soon. With Samsung’s Galaxy Gear unveiling just a few short days away, a new leak from @evleaks has revealed the companion app that will be released alongside the Galaxy Gear. Pictures of the “Gear Manager” app were posted Thursday evening and they confirm the Galaxy Gear’s NFC functionality as well as the fact that it will work with various apps on Samsung phones like the Galaxy S4. What else is in store for the Gear? You’ll have to tune into BGR on September 4th to find out. In the meantime, the leaked images follow below.
