    Samsung and LG to settle patent dispute behind closed doors

    The heads of both Samsung (005930) and LG (066570) have decided to resolve their recent patent dispute behind closed doors, according to the Yonhap News Agency. Shortly after LG employees were charged with stealing advanced OLED display technology from Samsung, the company filed a lawsuit against its South Korean rival. Things escalated quickly and LG fired back with a lawsuit of its own. Unlike the patent battle with Apple that seems to never end, however, Samsung and LG are looking to settle their differences right off the back. Samsung Display chief executive Kim Ki-nam revealed that the companies plan to “resolve the issue one by one,” although he failed to give specific details.
