Samuel L. Jackson Makes Angry, Vulgar Obama Ad

Actor Samuel L. Jackson has teamed up with the Jewish Council for Education and Research to make a new, aggressive ad in support of President Obama that seems designed to generate controversy in addition to votes.

The ad is titled "Wake the F--- Up!" and is told in the same storybook style as the Jackson-narrated Go the F--- to Sleep audiobook, which is a parody of the popular children's book.

The ad is a jarring change of pace from the usual 30-second spot. It clocks in at just over three minutes long and features obscenity-laced dialogue juxtaposed with children and an elderly couple sharing an intimate moment. In other words, while it's sure to be an Internet hit, don't plan on seeing this ad on your television anytime soon.

The Jewish Council for Education and Research is a super PAC that was created to promote issues of concern to the American Jewish community. This isn't the first time it entered the celebrity fray for Obama. In 2008, the group promoted 'The Great Schlep' with comedian Sarah Silverman, which attempted to mobilize young American Jews to get their grandparents to vote for Obama.
