    Founder and President, Ali Bemanian, brings a unique perspective to the playground industry with a bachelor's degree in design from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in architecture from Cal Poly. The company co-founder, Elizabeth Bemanian, oversees the sales and marketing division of the company and has been in the commercial playground industry since 1991 as well. While working as a project architect on various commercial projects in San Diego, Ali developed an interest towards the playground industry and devoted some time to research and development before designing his first playground in 1990 for their two young boys.

    “We wanted to do something really special for the boys for Christmas, so we ended up designing and building a unique custom play structure for them,” he explains. “We happened to show a photo of the play structure to their preschool director, she loved it, and asked us to design and build a couple of play structures for her school. Then, before we knew it, one thing led to another and we ended up spending the next 20 years in the commercial playground equipment industry.”

    The Bemanians started their first playground company in 1991 - one of the first companies to use environmental-friendly products in the commercial playground industry. The company quickly became successful with more than 50 dealers selling their products throughout the country and overseas. They sold the company in 2004, took some time off for other projects, and in 2010 started Pacific Play Systems.
