Santorum Shows Wisconsin He Knows How to Bowl

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - If he makes it to the White House in November, Rick Santorum definitely will make use of the bowling alley at1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Santorum showed off his bowling skills after a rally here this afternoon, bowling three strikes in a row.

Bowling with his daughter Sarah Maria, two aides and one of the aide's daughters, Santorum bowled a total of four and a half frames at Lakeshore Lanes. In his first frame, he left two pins standing, but for the second, third and fourth, he got three strikes, what's known as a turkey in bowling lingo.

In his fifth frame, he left several pins standing before ending his bowling outing and dashing out the door for an event near Green Bay.

During his speech in a banquet room at Lakeshore Lanes, Santorum touted his bowling skills, saying he would fare better than President Obama did in 2008.

"You compare it to president Obama bowling, I'm not going to need the bumpers," Santorum said. "And you're going to have someone who knows how to bowl, someone who grew up like you grew up, someone who believes what you believe, and someone who will fight like you will fight to make sure this country is free and safe and prosperous. Go out over the next 10 days and you stand up for freedom. We will win in Wisconsin. We will this nomination. We will defeat Barack Obama and we will keep America free."

While campaigning in Pennsylvania in 2008, Obama had a poor bowling showing, scoring only 37 points and landing a few balls in the gutter.
