Sarah Jessica Parker Featured in Obama TV Ad

In an attempt to appeal to younger voters, the Obama campaign ran three 30-second ad spots during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night featuring actress Sarah Jessica Parker, ABC News reports.

In the ad, Parker says President Obama was “the guy who ended the war in Iraq; the guy who says you should be able to marry anyone you want; the guy who created 4 million new jobs.”

For several weeks, the Obama campaign has promoted the event with the “Sex and the City” actress at her New York home on June 14. By donating $3 to the campaign, supporters can have a chance to win two seats to the fundraiser. “It should be fabulous,” Parker said in an email to supporters on Sunday.

Last month, the Obama campaign ran a similar drive to have dinner at actor George Clooney’s Southern California home. The Romney campaign has followed suit, pushing a dinner in New York with television personality Donald Trump.

The Republican National Committee hit the Obama campaign on the fundraiser with Parker and Vogue editor Anna Wintour with an ad called, "Meanwhile." The ad shows dismal economic numbers, juxtaposed with the seemingly flashy event in New York.
