Sarah Jessica Parker Nears HBO Return With New Comedy
HBO and actress Sarah Jessica Parker are nearing a deal for a starring role on a new comedy called “Divorce,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
The series would focus on a middle-aged woman, who’s teetering on the idea of divorce from her husband and is being nudged by her two single friends to do it. But, she doesn’t go through with it. That changes, though, when her husband learns of her affair and calls off the marriage.

Parker is slated to star and executive produce the comedy alongside Aaron Kaplan, Paul Simms, Alison Benson.
An HBO representative declined to confirm the project.
Parker is best known for her role as writer Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO comedy “Sex and the City” that spawned two movies. She had a recurring role on Fox’s “Glee” last year.

She has also starred in the cult films “Mars Attacks” and “Hocus Pocus” alongside Bette Midler and “Failure to Launch.”
