    Saying Farewell to Steve Jobs: Gates, Obama, Zuckerberg and Others Weigh In

    Celebrities and other famous names took to Twitter and Facebook to share their thoughts about Steve Jobs' death Wednesday.

    Twitter especially was abuzz with hashtags like #ThankYouSteve and #RIPSteve filling streams in remembrance of Jobs and his contribution to technology. Almost instantly, they became trending topics, with many users learning of the news right there on Twitter. How many were probably reading the Tweets on Apple devices?

    We are seeing celebrities and public figures of all types sending out their condolences, memories and thank-yous to a man who pioneered technology as we know it today. From actors and musicians to the president of the United States, Steve Jobs touched many lives with his brilliance. It is a sad day for all of us who will miss his talents but he lives on in the technology we have now and will have in future generations.
