Selena Gomez Opens Up About Dealing With Pain And Keeping Motivated In Q&A With Fans

Having recently bravely opened up about her battle with lupus, Selena Gomez has dished out advice about dealing with pain in a Twitter Q&A with her fans.

The singer was forced to step out of spotlight in 2013 after being diagnosed with the potentially fatal disease, in which the immune system attack healthy tissue in the body, with symptoms including joint and muscle pain, fever, hair loss, and extreme fatigue.

She told Billboard magazine: “I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke.

“I’m so f*cking nice to everybody and everyone is so vile to me. I’ve been working since I was 7. I’ve been a UNICEF ambassador since I was 17. It’s so disappointing that I’ve become a tabloid story.”

In a new Twitter Q&A with fans as part of a listening party for new album ‘Revival’, Selena opened up more about dealing with pain and keeping motivated.

She told one follower: “Have no choice but to just feel the pain, ask a million questions, pick yourself up and move forward. It sucks..”

Asked what her biggest regret has been in her career, she admitted: “Zero. Even if it’s sucked. Haha.”

She also shared the best piece of advice she’s been given, writing: “Everything happens for a reason. Learn to grow from every single moment.”

Preach, Selena.
