Semi trucks destroyed by fire at Sanborn business
Jan. 8—Niagara County Origin and Cause is investigating the cause of a fire Monday morning on Lockport Road that destroyed semi-tractor trailers.
Just after 8 a.m., Bergholz, Sanborn, and Niagara Active fire companies all responded to Superior Storage, 2270 Lockport Road, Sanborn, for reports of a semi truck on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters located multiple semis engulfed in flames after the fire had spread to other trucks parked nearby.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fires.
The incident shut down Walmore Road, between Niagara Falls Boulevard and Lockport Road, but it was later reopened.
