    SEO Firm Oracle Digital Announces Expansion to Regional Western Australia as National Broadband Network Rolls Out

    As the National Broadband Network expands into regional Western Australia this year, more people and businesses are expected to head online and create more opportunities for local businesses.

    Perth SEO Firm Oracle Digital has today announced their push to expand to Western Australian regional locations such as Geraldton as the National Broadband Network (NBN) rolls out later this year. The move comes from an increased awareness and demand from business operators in these areas, into Web Marketing services and products.

    The NBN has been a keen topic of discussion for a number of years now, and with a slow uptake initially in the Eastern States, it was unknown if the project would be a success. With quality Internet Service Providers such as iinet actively promoting the NBN, people are now wanting to get online, due to the generous download speeds that are available as compared to existing satellite and ADSL technologies.

    Internet speed is a very important consideration for those in regional areas, and the new NBN is offering 100 megabit per second download speeds. This is up to four times faster of current ADSL 2 Internet, and up to fifty times faster than some satellite connections.

    With this massive increase in Internet speed, it is widely accepted that many more consumers will be heading online to research and purchase goods that they would previously have done face to face.

    Oracle Digital’s Head of Business Development, James Corby, says, “With the strong uptake of the NBN in regional areas, country people can now do what city people have been doing for some years now, and get fast access to the Net so they can research, compare, and buy online. With a slow connection this can be more trouble then it’s worth.”

    And so as regional people turn online, savvy business owners in the bush are aware that the time has come they can begin to market online, and gain an advantage over their competition.

    Corby continues, “There are people looking online for goods and services not just in the city, but also in the smaller towns and cities. There is a lot of opportunity for country businesses to do really well in the online space, and we’re certainly happy to be able to finally assist them in this area.”

    As of now, the NBN is in build mode in Geraldton, and is proposed to be coming to other regional locations such as Pinjarra and Mandurah later in the year.
