    Serving Up Aces for Wimbledon: 10 Luxury Tennis Homes

    For diehard tennis fans and players, Wimbledon is the sport's ultimate competition. The oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon brings tennis big-wigs like Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, and Serena Williams together to battle it out for the coveted championship title. Held at the All England Club since its birth in 1877, the 2011 Wimbledon Championships kicked off on June 20.

    With the Wimbledon quarterfinals in motion and the final matches a few days away (women's final on Saturday, men's final on Sunday on NBC), here's a Wimbledon-inspired list of ten for-sale homes with luxury tennis courts, perfect for brushing up on on your aces and backhand.

    1851 Turbeville Rd, Hickory Creek, TX (above)

    For Sale: $35,000,000

    A veteran of Zillow's annual Most Expensive Homes for Sale round-up, Champ d'Or is a breathtaking Texas property that not only features a palace-like 35,000-sq ft main house but a lighted, tournament-worthy tennis court with an adjacent tennis house perfect for pre- and post-match entertaining.

    Hitting the Hickory Creek real estate market last June for $69.9 million, Champ d'Or recently took a 50 percent price cut to its current listing price of $35 million.

    If you're summering in Southampton, you'd better bring your A game. Whoever scoops up this oceanside slice of Southampton real estate will have ample opportunity to keep their tennis serves razor-sharp.     When we started hunting down tennis homes in Miami Beach, our first turn was to Anna Kournikova's home, which was recently listed on the Miami Beach real estate market for $9.4 million. Surprisingly, the tennis star's waterfront home doesn't have a tennis court.

    So, we turned to this 14,400-sq ft Mediterranean mansion (above), and its gorgeous outdoor tennis court. Surrounded by hedges and adjacent to the property's swimming pool and 209 feet of private waterfront, the court is perfectly situated for a refreshing dip after a long tennis practice.

    For Sale: $12,500,000

    Located on a private lake behind layers of treed acreage is a pavilion-side tennis court awaiting its next match. It may be hard to head straight to the tennis court at this property, though. Listed for $4.4 million, this luxury cabin property includes a gym, office, media room, billiards room, 2-bedroom guest house, pool, spa, and barn.

    If a home was ever meant to develop athletes, this custom-built Alabama home is the one.
