Shabba amped for qualifiers

South Africa winger Siphiwe Tshabalala says defeat is not an option against Ethiopia in 2014 World Cup qualifying action next month. Bafana Bafana will host the minnows in Rustenburg on June 3 before facing neighbours Botswana in Gaborone on June 9. "We have an advantage playing at home [against Ethiopia], so for us it's a must win," said Tshabalala. The Kaizer Chiefs star is hoping the national team can make amends for failing to reach the last two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. "It was a big blow for us not to qualify for [AFCON], but we're over that because there's nothing we can do about it except to move on," he declared. Tashabalala, affectionately called 'Shabba', is confident Bafana can cope with the weight of expectation. "We did well in the [2010] World Cup," he said. "There was a lot of expectation and pressure but we managed to overcome that. We're not new to this situation. "It's one game at a time now for us and we'll see how it goes. It starts now against Ethiopia, and then Botswana. "The journey is long but we'll overcome the obstacles."
