    Shannah Hayley, Marketing Director with Urban Design Group, Inducted Into the SMPS Dallas Marketing Hall of Fame

    Urban Design Group’s Marketing Director, Shannah Hayley, was formally inducted into the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Dallas Marketing Hall of Fame at the chapter’s 30th anniversary celebration and Marketing Achievement Awards Gala.

    Shannah Hayley, CPSM, Marketing Director and Senior Associate for Urban Design Group, was inducted into the Dallas Marketing Hall of Fame on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the annual Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Dallas Awards Gala. The Dallas SMPS chapter also celebrated their 30th anniversary as part of the festivities.

    The Annual Marketing Achievement Awards program recognizes excellence by marketing professionals in the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry. The SMPS Dallas Marketing Hall of Fame recognizes professionals for being the “best of the best” among their peers in the A/E/C marketing industry. Hall of Fame members also have a long, rich history of success in marketing professional services in the Dallas-Fort Worth built environment.

    “We are extremely proud to see Shannah recognized with this award for her marketing expertise and professionalism in the industry,” said John Novack, Founder and Principal of Urban Design Group. “Shannah encourages teamwork, stays on top of trends and is creative and positive about developing new ways to promote our firm. She has been an instrumental part of our team for 13 years, and through her dedication and hard work, she ensures the future success of our firm.”

    Hayley is a summa cum laude graduate from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, where she earned her B.S. in Communications Management (with honors) and her M.A. in Communications. She has leveraged her training in communications into marketing and business development for the built environment.

    Her pursuit of living life to the fullest has taken her all over the world with various communications-focused jobs, from teaching in Kenya to consulting in the United Kingdom. Her start in the professional services realm came when she moved to Dallas in 1999 and joined the architectural firm of Urban Design Group.

    As Marketing Director, Hayley’s primary responsibilities include brand management, strategic planning, public relations and supervision of all aspects of the firm’s marketing and business development efforts. A natural teacher, Hayley leads training courses on communication and business development skills for internal staff, industry organizations and university students.

    Hayley has been a member of the SMPS-Dallas chapter since 1999. She has served on various committees, on the board as Programs Director and President, and currently serves as the newsletter editor. In keeping with her commitment to professional excellence, Hayley earned her Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) designation in 2006. She developed the chapter's first certification study group program and led the chapter to a National Award of Excellence for Special Event of the Year in 2007. She is also the incoming chair of the SMPS National Certification Committee.
