Sign-language 'singalong' couple speak on newfound fame

A California couple whose road-trip singalong using sign language became a viral video sensation says they are surprised at all the attention it received.

The video, uploaded to YouTube last week, features Tina Cleveland, an American Sign Language interpreter, and her fiancé, Paul Sirimarco, signing along to "You're the One That I Want" from the soundtrack to "Grease." And it's already racked up more than 870,000 views on YouTube and 150,000 shares on Facebook.

"We just had the GoPro a week before, so we were just going to see how it would look," Sirimarco told Buzz60. "We ended up doing the whole song. The next thing I know [Tina's] uploading it to Facebook."

Some viewers have criticized Sirimarco for signing while driving, but he insists he was being safe, and that his knee was on the wheel when his hands weren't.

"My eyes were never off the road," Sirimarco said. "I'm a very, very safe driver."

They've since added several other signalongs to their YouTube page (including the Four Seasons' "Oh, What a Night" and "Glee's" remix of "Don't Stop Believin'") and the couple says they've been inundated with requests.

The most common? Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "anything from 'Frozen.'"
