    3. Choice

    4. The Wrap Dress


    First made a wardrobe staple by Diane von Furstenberg in the 1970s, the wrap dress is infinitely adaptable and easy to wear. For an added twist, women can wear it backwards for a bateau neckline and a plunging V back.

    5. Vintage


    The vintage trend is still going strong! Although bridesmaids will be wearing many flapper and drop waist dresses for Prohibition-styled weddings, sweet and sexy Marilyn Monroe styled bridesmaid dresses will be all the rage. 2012 is definitely a more sensual year for bridesmaid fashion.

    6. Bright Color


    Brides are following mainstream fashion in their color choices. The runways of Spring 2012 exhibited bright colors and we'll be seeing lots of bridesmaid dresses in bold colors (tangerine, emerald, and fuschia) or with bright accents (such as accessories, sashes, and details).

    7. Black


    While it's sure to become more present for formal fall and winter weddings, this spring black will be introduced as a chic and classic color.

    Necklines will be a point of interest this spring. While the strapless neckline will be the favorite, the bateau neckline will also be very popular, the bateau, single strap, and scooped necklines offer fashionable and more comfortable alternatives. Many bridesmaids will be wearing simple dresses with interesting details around the neck or shoulders.

    9. Color blocking


    This graphic and dramatic trend is perfect for spring weddings. The bright and unexpected bursts of color parallel the typical wedding palette. Bridesmaids can play it safe by choosing readymade multi-colored frocks or wearing a peplum or cardigan in a matching color. More fashionably adventurous women can wear contrasting colors. To avoid too much dissonance, bridesmaids should stick with a maximum of three colors.
