The Sims FreePlay review

Whether you're a fan of The Sims franchise or new to the series, The Sims FreePlay is sure to delight.

Pros

Time-tested gameplay: The makers of The Sims know what they're doing, and they do it better than anyone else. The game has the same addictive qualities that made all the other installments of the franchise such massive hits on multiple platforms.

Real-time gameplay: Actions in The Sims FreePlay take approximately the same amount of time that actions take in real life. This means that you don't have to be constantly logging on to check on your Sims and to assign them actions. They can do just fine without you, as long as you have a couple of times each day to check your phone and get them looked after.

Great controls: A frequent complaint about touch games is that they're difficult to control. We didn't find that for an instant with this title.

Cons

Very tempting store: Many games of this type offer you the option of making a purchase to speed up the game experience. The Sims FreePlay makes this very tempting, as the time it takes to earn everything for free is significant. All but the most patient players are going to be tempted to make purchases, which can add up and get expensive very quickly.

Bottom Line

If you like controlling imaginary people and dictating how they perform every little aspect of their lives, then you're a potential fan of The Sims series. This game is another great addition to the series, and should provide longtime fans with some great mobile gameplay.
