Skate Oddity: A Rollerdisco Night for David Bowie
For David Bowie fans of a certain age who consider their golden years to be the ones spent couples-only-skating to “Ashes to Ashes,” “Fashion,” and “Let’s Dance,” Bowie Skate Night (held Feb. 4 at Los Angeles’s old-school Moonlight Rollerway rink) was a total moonage daydream. All the young dudes and pretty things put on their red wheels and skated the blues, under the serious Moonlight disco ball, all night long. What better proof is there that Bowie’s music makes the world go ‘round?
