Solidary confinemet, bread and water (rice and water - 쌀과 물), and a few beatings a day shoudl drive away those two peoples demons over the years.

If Faith/Religion is such a good thing why does it have such a dark side? I have lived in Eugene, Oregon not Korea (North or South) for 37 years and I have lost track (more than 2 dozen) of the times I have seen this same story in our local news. Christian families that kill one or some or all of their children for not performing their rituals correctly ( prayer, praise, attention in church, obedience etc.). It seems like this behavior is a deadly kind of insainity not a cultural enrichment.

Not So Valuable Family Values

It seems like every election time, or every time there is a serious crime involving children people talk about family values. Christians are pretty quick to say they have the perfect family values... does the saying "a family that prays together, stays together" sound familiar? What sort of family values are in the Bible? Is this book really a good source on how to raise and keep a family? I think not.

The Monogamous Marriage

Having more than one wife is a crime. Having sex with a woman who isn't your wife is grounds for divorce. Monogamy is king, unless you ask a Mormon, then there is some debate. As for Christians go, they pride themselves on either celibacy in the Catholic Church, or a faithful marriage amongst the non-clergy. But for some reason, the Bible is pro-polygamy.

To name off every person to have multiple wives, or to have slept with their slaves/servants would cause this html file to be about 64 terabytes. So only a few will be mentioned here to make the point.

Genesis 4:19 is where the first mention of polygamy comes in. Lamech felt the need for two wives, and thus was born a long line of men with multitudes of wives.]

Genesis chapter 36 reveals to us that Esau had a few wives also.

Even good ol' David had a great many wives. Not enough though, it turns out, because he got more in 1 Chronicles chapter 14... not to mention he had 13 more kids.

And then there is Solomon, king of all polygamists. This guy had 700 wives, and 300 concubines. That's a different woman every night for 3 years. Holy cow!!! Or better yet, 3 women per night, per year, with 3 days off per month. Okay quit drooling, the point was to say that polygamy is condoned throughout the Bible, so why do modern Christians condemn those who want more than one woman?

Disciplining Your Children

We live in a world where children have more power than their parents. "Go ahead and spank me, I'll call the cops". And Christians today feel that spanking is wrong, it's this whole "time out" thing... ugh. Well, the Bible tells a little bit different story on how to handle your children. Check this out.

Exodus 21:15, 17 both say that if a child hits or curses his father, he is to be killed.

Leviticus 20:9 says that if a child curses his mother or father he is to be put to death.

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 requires stoning to death any child who is stubborn or rebellious.

Proverbs 22:15 says you should beat your foolish children with a rod.

Some of the Strange Laws in the Bible

The inspiration for this section originates with Christians and Christian groups using the Bible to justify horrible actions, most notable in recent years has been gay bashing. Rev. Fred Phelps protests any people who support gays, as well as homosexual funerals with colorful signs reading "God Hates Fags" or "Burn in Hell FAG!!!". Dr. Laura, a disgustingly boring radio personality, as well as failed TV personality... not to mention a bad source of advice, also uses the Bible to justify her dislike of homosexuals. The Ku Klux Klan uses the Bible to justify their actions, as well as abortion clinic bombers, mail bombers, and dictators/tyrants throughout history. But what does the Bible really say about things like this? How does the Bible expect us to act? Let us find out.

Homosexuals MUST DIE!!!

The killing of homosexuals is condoned and encouraged in the wonderful laws of Leviticus. Leviticus 20:13 clearly states "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Well there you have it, Homosexuality is wrong, and they must pay the ultimate price... IN THE NAME OF GOD!!!

Who else shouldn't people do?

Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of Cattle (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't have a variety of crops on the same field. (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't cut your hair nor shave. (Leviticus 19:27)

Any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed. (Leviticus 20:9) Have you ever done that?

If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. (Leviticus 20:10). I wonder if Dr. Laura would like that one to be enforced?

If a man sleeps with his father's wife... both him and his father's wife is to be put to death. (Leviticus 20:11)

If a man sleeps with his wife and her mother they are all to be burnt to death. (Leviticus 20:14)

If a man or woman has sex with an animal, both human and animal must be killed. (Leviticus 20:15-16). I guess you should kill the animal since they were willing participants. Are they crazy?

If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18)

Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27)

If a priest's daughter is a whore, she is to be burnt at the stake. (Leviticus 21:9)

People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18)

Anyone who curses or blasphemes God, should be stoned to death by the community. (Leviticus 24:14-16)

One must wonder why there are so many people wanting to site Leviticus for gay bashing, but they never mention these rules. How strange. It is common that a Christian will blow off these old rules with "Jesus came to change the laws, so these are outmoded, and we don't need them", but throughout Leviticus God states that these laws are to be followed forever. Hmmm.

Kill anyone with a different religion. (Deuteronomy 17:2-7)

This shows you that it really is scary that people want to make the Bible part of the law. Not to mention it sheds light on why Christians are so overly oppressive to those who don't share their belief. Sick, sick, sick. It can also be said that any person who uses the Bible to justify beating a homosexual, is a hypocrite if he doesn't adhere to all of these laws.

Another case of nuts with thier bible.

If anyone, even your own family suggests worshipping another God, kill them. (Deuteronomy 13:6-10)

Why would you call yourself Christian (Follower of Christ) if you were willing to murder your children because you bizarrely misinterpreted a single line of Old Testament verse (all of which was superseded by Christ)?
Christ didn't murder children, he loved them.

If you think your loved one are possessed, find help through a priest--or an excorsist--or a freaking therapist!
