Small earthquake rattles upper South Island
The upper South Island has been rattled by a small earthquake this morning.
Geonet has recorded it as a 3.5 magnitude quake.
It struck 35 kilometres north-east of Kaikoura at a depth of 31 kilometres, just before six o'clock.
