Obviously George Bush's fault. The snake bit him because it had been unduly influanced by listening to vicious right wing hate filled talk radio. He thought the people were Todd and Sarah Palin and had been watching it from thier front porch in Alaska. being like most snakes a lifelong democrat he just did what snakes do and bit. So I do not blame the snake I blame Haliburton. For they worked on the oilfields that produced the gas and oil that was powering the car that the snake was in. They clearly should have forseen this event. Obozo should call for bi partisan congressional hearings funded with our stimulously money and form a blue ribbon commitee of old Chicago political hacks he owes favors to issue yet another report with recomendations for him to ignore. Then he can make a speech condeming the republicans on the very commitee he himself called for therby politcising it. And call instead for a telivised debate on his tv show dancing with the Czars. There he can demonstrate one again his inate greatness at the Chigago two step shuffle. The dance where he sidesteps the issue, speechifies with great pompious indignation just to make himself look good to the moderates, puts forward no specific plans or ideas and claims to avoid any personal responability for his inability to lead, follow, or get out of the way.

I'm betting on the mystery snake being a copperhead. It is more agressive than the garter snake when cornered. Also garter snakes do have some venom, it is injected through the rear teeth and is neither powerful or secreted in amounts large enough to effect humans.

snakes like to get in the soil.and sometimes you dont know you have a hitch hiker.

just a note.but when you go to buy plants you need you check them for snakes.especially if you are buying a house plant.2 people have been bitten at wal mart stores over the years by snakes from the plants.

a garter snake does'nt bite.also look in the car better.because the snake will get larger.they can go months without eating.i would not drive around knowing i did not get the snake out of my car.so no one knows what kind of snake it is.big momma snakes have little baby snakes.im just saying...

How dumb can the authorties be to not be able to tell the diffrence between a copperhead bite and a garter snake bite? One has fangs while one does not. A dry bite from a baby copperhead is not that uncommon though.
