South Africa central bank indicator up 0.8 pct in August

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - The South African central bank's leading business cycle indicator rose 0.8 percent month-on-month in August, due to an increase in the number of residential building plans passed and higher volumes in manufacturing orders, a report showed on Tuesday. The indicator collates data such as vehicle sales, job advertisements, business confidence and money supply to gauge the economic outlook.
