South Africa consumer confidence recovers but remains in negative territory

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's consumer confidence recovered in the third quarter of the year but was still in negative territory, a survey showed on Thursday, indicating households remain concerned about the outlook for the economy. The confidence index, sponsored by First National Bank (FNB) and compiled by the Bureau for Economic Research, recovered to -3 in the third quarter after registering -11 in the second quarter.
