South Africa's Steinhoff lifts FY profit by nearly a third

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African furniture group Steinhoff International Holdings Ltd reported an almost one-third rise in full-year profit on Tuesday, helped by positive currency swings. The world's second-biggest furniture retailer said diluted headline earnings per share totalled 416.7 cents in the year to the end of June, compared with 323.3 cents a year earlier. Headline EPS, the main profit gauge in South Africa, strips out certain one-off items.
