South Dakota prison inmate sues hospital for circumcising him

A South Dakota man is troubled by newly discovered knowledge that he was circumcised as a baby, and he is now suing the hospital that performed the operation.

According to The Huffington Post, Dean Cochrun, a 28-year-old prison inmate, is asking for $1,000 from Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, claiming that a doctor at the time of his birth tricked his mother into thinking the circumcision procedure was necessary.

As part of the lawsuit he filed on Friday, the convicted kidnapper asked that his foreskin be restored so that could “feel whole again.”

“I was recently made aware of the fact that I had been [circumcised] and that … I was robbed of sensitivity during sexual intercourse as well as the sense of security and well-being I am entitled to in my person,” he argues in the lawsuit. He added that he would not “have a normal sex life” because of the lack of sensitivity.
