Spoiler pictures from the set of Star Wars Episode VII leak showing new alien creature

We learned about the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII in late April and now we’re getting our first look right from the set. TMZ has obtained some leaked pictures that give us a closeup look at the set of the new film, including pictures of both a Tatooine marketplace and a gigantic hippopotamus-like creature that TMZ says takes five different men to operate. The new Star Wars movie is now being filmed in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, so it’s not surprising that the pictures shown on TMZ’s page all show a desert landscape.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to be released next year and will feature past Star Wars favorites Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo), and will be directed by J.J. Abrams. We’ve included a couple of the leaked pictures below but you should really go over to TMZ if you want to check out the full gallery.
