Sports cars you just cannot miss at the Auto Expo

The Auto Expo is never short on eye candy but one category of machines that pulls most people to the event are the Sports cars. This time too there’s no dearth of some really fast set of wheels at the show.

Audi R8 V10 plus

The German luxury car maker Audi launched a brand new generation of its famed sports car, the R8 at the Auto Expo. The sports car runs on a naturally-aspirated 5.2 FSI quattro V10 mid-engine that can deliver a whooping power of up to 610 bhp. This power and the light weight of the car propels it from 0 to 100 in mere 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 330 km/h. This next generation R8 V10 Plus is priced at Rs. 2.47 crores, ex-showroom Mumbai and New Delhi.

Nissan GT-R

Japanese car maker Nissan has announced it will bring its iconic sports car GT-R to India. The GT-R runs on a twin turbo 3.8 litre V6 petrol engine that gives a massive power of 550 PS. The sports car has an all-wheel drive system which makes it easier to drive the car in real world conditions. The GT-R will be launched in India by September this year.

Ford Mustang

The Mustang is surely one of the show stoppers at the Expo. In comparison to the cars mentioned above, the Mustang will be much more affordable when it is launched in a few months from now. It runs on a 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine that delivers a maximum power of more than 420 bhp. It’s got a massive torque of 529 Nm and the engine is mated to a 6-speed auto transmission that also comes with paddle shifters. The Mustang is capable of reaching a speed of 100 kms/hr from stationary in about 4.8 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 250 kms/hr.

Chevrolet Corvette

The General Motors stall has an impressive line-up of sports cars at its stall that includes the Camaro and the Corvette. If a 6.2 litre V8 engine doesn’t excite you then nothing will. Maximum power stands at a massive 455 bhp. However, Chevy has no plans of launching either of these 2 cars in India any time soon.
