Helmet-camera footage captures dramatic kayak rescue

Professional kayaker Mark Shackleton was enjoying a trip on the East Lyn River in Somerset, England, when he and a colleague came across a fellow kayaker in distress.

Footage from Shackleton's helmet-cam shows kayaker Mark Hardingham stuck in a group of rocks. Unable to move and in danger of drowning, Hardingham called for help while the waters crashed around him.

Fortunately, Shackleton and his colleague quickly rowed to shore and helped free Hardingham, pulling him from the rapids.
