According to the most recent data from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), breast augmentation was 2010’s most common surgical procedure. Of the more than 318,000 breast augmentation procedures performed, 38% used saline implants, and 62% used silicone implants. He adds that discussing the entire process, as well as each patient’s aesthetic enhancement goals, is the first step in maintaining safety, achieving patient satisfaction, and providing effective treatment.
