Carrie Fisher's Rep: 'She Was Joking' About Joining Cast Of Star Wars VII

Despite her comments to Palm Beach Illustrated that she would reprise her Princess Leia role in the J.J. Abrams-directed movie, a rep for the actress told CNN on Wednesday that the actress was not being serious.

"Can you confirm whether you'll reprise the role of Princess Leia?" she was asked by the magazine.

    "Yes," the actress said.

When asked what the rebellion's fearless heroine would be like today, Carrie joked that she doubts the character would be facing off against Sith Lords or killing Hutt crime bosses on Tatooine (while wearing a slave bikini).

"Elderly. She's in an intergalactic old folks' home," she joked. "I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" has a tentative release date of 2015.
