Starbucks CEO says company is just getting started

SEATTLE (AP) — Howard Schultz says Starbucks is just getting started.

The coffee company chairman, president and CEO told a shareholders meeting in Seattle on Tuesday that Starbucks is still in the early stages of growth and development. He says the company has a long-term target of doubling its market cap to $100 billion.

The company says television writer and producer Norman Lear kicked off Wednesday's meeting by introducing the Playing For Change Band, whose third album will be available in Starbucks stores in June.

Shareholders met in McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center.
