Kelly joins Whiskey Tango Foxtrot stars Tina Fey and Margot Robbie,Zoolander 2’s Will Ferrell and Colbert’s former Comedy Central colleagues Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who are starring together in Keanu. They will help Colbert make TV history when his becomes the first late-night series to snag the post-Super Bowl time slot, starting at 10 PM ET-ish.

Kelly’s no slouch, star-wattage-wise, having emerged as one of the lead characters of the country’s most watched TV series, The GOP Debates. Most recently, she was cited by Republican front-runner Trump as being among the reasons he boycotted the most recent debate on the eve of tonight’s Iowa caucus:

by asking Trump a question about how he has characterized women in the past. Although her news competitors said the question was appropriate, Trump responded, in an interview to CNN’s Don Lemon, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her — wherever.” The Trump-Kelly battle became so big, news execs at other networks found themselves taking questions from media as to whether it was time to move on from “talking about Megyn Kelly’s menstrual cycle.”

Trump, meanwhile, is one of Colbert’s favorite topics, and there’s almost no opening-riff subject he cannot segue into a Trump gag. Colbert so loves the subject that, before taking over Late Show in September, he confessed to a gaggle of reporters at TCA, he was “dry-Trumping” in anticipation of having the CBS late-night platform to further eviscerate the real-estate magnet turned reality TV star-turned-GOP front-runner.

After the Super Bowl, Kelly will appear with those other industry luminaries during Colbert’s live broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.
