‘Strange Inheritance’ Bestows Record Ratings On Fox Business Network

Last night’s unveiling of Strange Inheritance With Jamie Colby clocked Fox Business Network’s biggest premiere ratings yet.

The first of two back-to-back episodes, about the Black Swamp baseball card find, clocked 289,000 viewers at 9 PM – 44K in the news demo. An average of 315,000 viewers – 49K in the demo – watched the second episode, about a guy who left his farm to two retired TV actors who did not know him.

FBN announced in December that Jamie Colby was set to host Strange Inheritance, a story-driven primetime reality series. The show, which examines real-life stories of unconventional inheritances, will air back-to-back

half-hour episodes Mondays through Thursdays, with new episodes bowing Mondays and Tuesdays. Fox News reporter and America’s News Headquarters co-anchor Colby will look into unusual circumstances ranging from a family trying to keep a 900-acre bug museum in business to the discovery of a rare 1913 Liberty Head nickel. Strange Inheritance is produced by Towers Productions (Gangland, American Justice). FBN also will air Strange Inheritance Unpacked, a behind-the-scenes look at how each story unfolded, at 9:30 PM Wednesdays and Thursdays.
