How to Style a Parka When It's Cold AF

From ELLE

Oh, you thought we were out of the frozen woods? Nope, not yet! With more winter weather (and a serious storm or two) on the horizon, it looks like the only thing you'll really be cuffing this season is your parka. And while many would argue that this jacket does NOT go with everything (I love an evening coat as much as the next girl), when it's cold AF outside, you gotta do what you gotta do. Here, I built three outfits around an Yves Salomon parka that you can steal for the rest of the winter.

So who says a parka has to be black? This Yves Salomon one is good for people who are sick of boring jackets. The brand, which launched in 2010 and recently opened its flagship store in New York, makes parkas that are lightweight but seriously warm, which means they're perfect for layering and running around the city. For a quick coffee meeting, I teamed mine with a simple sweater dress and lace-up pointy-toe boots.

When paired with a heavier coat, a cropped sweater and high waist flares work for cold weather. Block-heel boots and a cross-body bag finish my afternoon-of-shopping look.

Denim on denim? For a causal Sunday-why not? A navy turtleneck and kick flare jeans paired with loafers add a preppy touch to the monochromatic look.
