Attention, those with gamers — or transit fans — on their holiday lists.

A Chicago-based artist known for his classic video-game-themed maps of the Second City has branched out, creating a "Super Mario World" version of the New York City subway system.

Robert Bacon — whose previous work includes "Super Mario," "Donkey Kong" and "Legend of Zelda" maps of Chicago — says the 16-bit, pixel-by-pixel re-creation of NYC's 450 stations, spanning over 840 miles of track, took several months to complete and "was easily my biggest challenge yet."

Like the Chicago version, the "Super Mario" NYC subway map sells for $25.

After its release Monday, some eagle-eyed viewers of a promotional video noted the Howard Beach stop appears to be incorrect on the map, but Bacon says it's already been fixed.
