Super Rugby: Highlanders sign key trio

The Highlanders Super Rugby squad is taking shape with three more additions.

Tasman players Marty Banks and Alex Ainley have joined the southern franchise along with Taranaki winger Waisake Naholo, who's been released from the final year of his contract with the Blues.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks won't face Manu Tuilagi next month with the powerful England centre ruled out of the November internationals with a groin injury.,

Wales coach Warren Gatland's dropped experienced prop Adam Jones from his squad for next month's tests while there's no place for Cardiff Blues-bound Gareth Anscombe who wants to make the World Cup squad.

And Michael Cheika's yet to be confirmed as Wallabies coach as he tries to finalise his support staff.

Brumbies mentor Stephen Larkham was courted but has ruled himself out, wanting to focus on his Super Rugby preparations.
