Al Roker's 2017 is off to an amazing start.

The jolliest weather forecaster on morning television cohosted NBC's coverage of the 2017 Rose Parade on Monday and didn't hold back when a surfing dog float rolled by.

To be fair, those dogs ARE FREAKING SURFING.

The internet matched Roker's enthusiasm, viewing the surfing dogs as a sign of hope for 2017.

But others were disappointed that their own dogs can't surf — or even really dog.

The 128th annual Rose Parade included 22 marching bands, more than 400 horses and 44 floats. But really, the surfing dog float was the only one that mattered.
